Air Fryer Frozen Salmon Recipe

Trust me, you’re going to want to try this! The lemon slices add a burst of flavor, and the salmon stays super moist and tasty. Plus, it’s loaded with protein and omega-3s, making it a nutritious option too!

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 frozen salmon fillets
  • ½ teaspoon olive oil
  • ½ lemon, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Prepare the Salmon: Remove any excess ice from your frozen salmon fillets. If your salmon has skin, place it in the air fryer basket skin-side down.
  3. Initial Cook: Cook the frozen salmon for 7 minutes to defrost.
  4. Season the Salmon: Brush the salmon with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Lay the lemon slices over the fillets.
  5. Final Cook: Return the salmon to the air fryer and cook for another 3-7 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked to your liking. The salmon is ready when it reaches an internal temperature of 135°F (57°C) and flakes easily with a fork.

Notes

  • No Fresh Lemons?: Use bottled lemon juice instead.
  • Oil Substitution: Swap olive oil for avocado oil or use cooking spray.
  • Add Herbs: Tuck fresh thyme or dill under the lemon slices or use your favorite seasoning blend.
